I'm a third year Ph.D. student at University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, School of Information.
I study how state policies and geopolitical dynamics shape the lives of individuals who are directly or indirectly affected by surveillance, suspicion, or cross-border enforcement in so-called liberal democracies.
I received a B.S. in Computer Science, a B.A. in Spanish Studies (see my Spanish Portfolio), and a minor in Ballroom Dance from Brigham Young University - Provo, where I worked as an undergraduate research assistant under Prof. Daniel Zappala on understanding motivations of secure email adoption and the usability of account recovery with passwordless authentications.
Here is my CV (updated May 2023).
